  1. After a couple of days off 1Password, I like the friction-free login experience of iCloud Passwords a lot, but the fact that it doesn’t work outside of Safari on macOS is potentially a deal-breaker. (As a web dev, I use a variety of browsers, even though my primary is Safari.)

      Minimalist lets you store all the other data types that 1Password offers, but you lose 2FA auto-fill in the trade. (It copies to clipboard so you can paste it instead, which is almost as good.) It’s also locked to Safari on macOS, though.

        Seems like Bitwarden is the cross-browser alternative to 1Password that’s getting all the attention right now, and you can self-host if you have a server to run it on. Probably going to try that next.
