Need some cuteness in your life?

Guinea pigs packed and ready to go

Sunny and Toffee will be homeless for four weeks in July and August, while Jess and I are away on holiday. Would you like to have them stay with you for some or all of that time? We will check them into a guinea pig hotel if necessary, but we’d much rather them stay with someone who could show them some love and affection, not just feed them.

Truth is Sometimes Even Stranger than Monty Python

After legally parking her car to go to the hairdressers, Shirley Hatcher returned to find a disabled parking bay had been painted around it and she had been given a ticket. Python’s rampaging “Keep Left” signs come to mind.

RRR Interview MP3

My interview about SitePoint and our new AJAX book is available for the next four weeks in MP3 format on the Byte Into It web site.

More permanently, you can also grab it here: RRR AJAX Interview (MP3, 10MB).

Talkin’ AJAX on RRR

I’ll be appearing on RRR‘s Byte Into It tonight (102.7FM in Melbourne) between 7PM and 8PM to talk about AJAX and plug SitePoint’s latest book, Build Your Own AJAX Web Applications. There is a podcast feed for the show, or you can just download the episode from the archive if you prefer. I’ll mirror it here once it goes live.

It’s Impro Season Again!

The Impro Cave logoAfter the long summer hiatus, Melbourne’s improvised comedy season is back in full swing! The Impro Cave starts up this Sunday, June 18th at 7:30PM and runs every Sunday night through August.

If you want to come and see me, you’ll need to get off your butt because I won’t be around for much of the season! I’m playing this Sunday at 7:30PM in More Or Less, a fast-paced format where players take turns directing scenes and the audience controls how long each scene goes on. Come and see me make mayhem!

Starting July 2nd, The Impro Cave starts earlier at 6:30PM with a brand new format called Tangents created by the up-and-comers within the Impro Melbourne company, including yours truly! More on this closer to opening night…

Windows Vista Beta 2 64-bit Installation Attempt Failed

Like a good nerd, I spent my Saturday installing the latest pre-release operating system on my computer. Having bought a 64-bit processor several years ago, now, I figured it was about time to try running a 64-bit operating system on it, so I downloaded the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Beta 2.
